Situated on the water's edge, in the heart of Cape Town's renowned
V&A Waterfront, is The Atlantic, a fine restaurant with a
focus on cutting-edge international cuisine. The restaurant boasts
an 80-seater dining room, a magnificent view al fresco terrace for
light meals, and a walk-in wine cellar that stocks a top selection
of local wines. |
Complementing the venue is the unique 'Captain's Table', set in
its own private alcove with exquisite views of the harbour and
Table Mountain. This table seats up to 12 people, and can be
reserved for private functions or special occasions. There is also
a private venue within the restaurant with seating for up to 70
people. |
The kitchen employs a highly talented team, led by Signature Chef,
David Roache, with a more modern and relaxed approach. The
emphasis is on classic cooking techniques, using the finest and
freshest ingredients, and presented in a manner, which would be
expected of a five star establishment. The signature dish is the
Prawn Cocktail which is a play on the old favourite consisting of
Tiger shrimp and avocado cocktail with lime crème fraiche. Enjoyed
with a glass of Hamilton Russel Chardonnay, which is the perfect
accompaniment to this classic favourite. The Atlantic promises a
superb dining experience in one of Cape Town's most beautiful and
unique settings. |
