Fish Market’s unique recipe of mix elements:
On a plate...
The a la carte menu offers a wide range from the traditional to
the more adventurous. There’s the old favourite hake and chips,
the exotic Abalone soup, chic fresh oysters and the classic
seafood curry. The seafood platters come highly recommended and
you can even pick your own ingredients from the fresh fish on iced
display. For those who aren’t that partial to seafood, there is
also a choice of meat and poultry as well as a number of
vegetarian dishes. Children are catered for and all meat and
poultry is Halaal.
On the move...
If you aren’t already au fait with these delicious delicacies, the
Sushi Bar with its conveyor-belt of tasty treats will leave you
hooked. The conveyor-belt was the first in its kind in South
Africa and is a firm favourite for Sushi lovers. Seat yourself
down while California rolls, sashimi, fashion sandwiches and other
tempting portions pass slowly by - all colour-coded to indicate
the price. The colour-coded plates make it easy for customers to
stick to their budget - however small or large that may be!

Japanese
flair...
The vast menu also includes Teppanyaki and Tempura dishes.
Teppanyaki diners sit at communal “hibachi” tables that surround a
large table top iron grill. This dining style allows them to view
the chef as he prepares the meal with amazing skill using the
traditional tools of the trade- a knife, a fork and two metal
spatulas. Patrons can watch master chefs prepare these popular
Eastern delights such as Teppanyaki-style Prawns and chicken, beef
on noodles, fried rice, to name but only a few. Tempura is also an
old-time favourite that displays the Japanese art of making crisp,
deep fried seafood and vegetables morsels, which boasts a lacy
texture and subtle taste.
On the coals...
In a first for South Africa, CTFM has introduced the exciting
Robata Grill concept, which follows the Japanese principle of
Robata meaning “by the fireside”. Appetizer-size portions allow
you to feast on a variety of dishes which are prepared over wood
coals and served with authentic Japanese sauces and condiments.
The secret is in the sauce and will prove a taste sensation. The
Japanese believe life is all about sharing so the 12-seater tables
make sure you dine in the spirit of things.

The combination of fish market and restaurant means customers have
the option to order a variety of fish and seafood from the fresh
fish market with its display of live crayfish, prawns, oysters,
mussels and fresh fish to be specially prepared for you in
preferred proportions or to utilise the “take-home” option for
those who wish to have a braai at home or simply to cook up using
grandma’s secret recipe.
By the bottle...
Wine connoisseurs are able to savour some of the finest South
African wines available. You can select from a range of cultivars,
blended and sparkling wines. The winelist also boasts wines of
quality purchased at the Nederburg Wine Auction. CTFM was, in
fact, one of the top five buyers at the auction this year.
Cape Town Fish Market is fully licensed with a fun and vibrant
atmosphere. So, if you are looking for a quick sushi lunch, a
romantic crayfish dinner for two or maybe just a fresh salmon

Situated in Victoria Road, the scenic drive that runs from Bantry
Bay through to Llandudno, this restaurant can be reached from both
Sea Point and Hout Bay, simply by following the Main Road. You'll
find Cape Town Fish Market on the left (from Sea Point) or the
right (from Hout Bay).
